What it Does: A technique that is used to absorb a tailed beast's chakra. The user produces the "sit" kanji on their palm and creates a series of wooden pillars, which resemble foo dog faces and have lit wicks on top of them. When the user slams their hand on the ground, the wooden statues rush towards the beast and absorb its chakra. (Narutopedia)

What it Does: The user flows chakra through all parts of their body causing it to become noticeably darker, which increases their defensive power to its utmost limits by making the skin as hard as diamond. Furthermore, the destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great all-purpose technique. The amount of techniques that can break through the areas hardened by the Earth Spear are close to zero, excluding its undeniable weak point: Lightning Release ninjutsu.

What it Does: This technique creates an orb of water from which many sharp whips of water emerge that can be directed towards and impale a target or multiple targets. The whips can also change direction in mid-trajectory, bending to seek out the targets.

Wood Release: Four-Pillar Prison Rank: B
What it Does: The user converts chakra into timber under the ground and makes it grow rapidly, while forming it into a wooden prison. The size of the prison is based on the user's imagination. The timber itself is treated with a chakra coating, making its destruction extremely difficult.

Well, it's Mid Summer now in Mukougakure, Nayamagakure, and Hanegakure! The sun is just boiling down on the ANBU's backs as they stand guard over the Village. Most Genin are out training with their Sensei though, the hot sun making it seem like it would 'Build Character'.
The Chuunin have it easy, as most are either away on missions where there's a lot more shade, water, or down south where all the snow is. Some are even teaching indoors! Lucky...
Brrr! It's winter down in Arashigakure and Honougakure! This is the time of year when Arashi gets quite a few snowstorms, well, if your below the cloud! Above on the upper platform, there's no snow, but there IS quite a wind chill!!
Down in Honou, because of the proximity of the Volcano, temperatures don't drop too much down here, if any, they only drop by 5oF!
